TOMI ERVI
Tomi brings his unique life in music and extensive orchestral knowledge to visual storytelling.
Tomi Ervi was born in Finland where he wrote and produced over twenty Number-1 songs in Pop format. He lived and worked several years in London and Paris before settling to New York after Warner Chappell signed him as a composer. Tomi has composed and produced a national US Top-40 hit in Jazz format and numerous Top-40 hit song on radio stations around the world in Soul and Pop formats.
Tomi has worked with classical musicians from New York Philharmonic to Helsinki Opera, produced music for Sony, Warner Chappell, EMI, collaborated with some of the biggest names in the pop-music industry, written compositions for big bands, recorder quartets, rappers and various Folk/Pop/Soul/Rock and Jazz groups.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Tomi Ervi has appeared on hundreds of recordings on keyboards, guitar, bass, vocal, percussion, kantele, flute and accordion to mention a few. Live performances include Blue Note (NY), Montreux Jazz Festival , Gamden Palace/KOKO (London), Helsinki Olympic Stadium and Cotton Club (Tokyo).

“My passion is to find a musical solution that gives emotional musical identity to visual storytelling, supports the characters, story and location and does it all in a way like it was always there.  A single note, a big complicated orchestration, or complete silence are all equally valuable considerations .”
